Wildflower Romance at Meldrum House: Rosie & Andrew’s Summer Wedding

Rosie and Andrew’s wedding day at Meldrum House Hotel was an absolute joy to be part of. Taking place in August, their celebration perfectly reflected everything we love about late summer weddings soft colour, relaxed elegance and flowers that feel as though they have been gathered straight from a meadow.

As a local wedding florist based right here in Oldmeldrum, it is always extra special to work at a venue that is quite literally on our doorstep. Meldrum House is just a short drive from our studio, and we know its spaces beautifully, which allows us to design florals that truly complement the venue.

A romantic indoor ceremony with meadow style florals

Rosie and Andrew chose to hold their ceremony indoors, creating an intimate and romantic atmosphere. We dressed the ceremony arch with flowers throughout and added generous arrangements around the base to create a fuller, meadow inspired look. The design felt abundant and natural, softening the room.

Raised aisle displays lined the ceremony space, adding height and movement as guests took their seats. After the ceremony, these arrangements were carefully repositioned to be enjoyed again during the celebrations, making the most of every floral detail.

Thoughtful designs that carried through the day

One of our favourite elements of the day was how seamlessly everything tied together. The vases of flowers used during the ceremony were later styled as table centrepieces, creating continuity from ceremony to reception while keeping the overall look relaxed and elegant.

Rosie’s wildflower bouquet was a real highlight. Designed to feel natural and unstructured, it tied in beautifully with the bespoke wedding stationery we had created for the couple. The colours also complemented the beautiful blue bridesmaid dresses perfectly, adding a fresh pop of summer colour without overpowering the overall palette.

And of course, their gorgeous daughter completely stole the show wearing her flower crown. I remember Andrew saying how excited she would be to receive it which was super heart warming.
