A Sun Drenched August Wedding at Elsick House

Some weddings just stay with you, and this beautiful August celebration at Elsick House is one of those.

From the very first conversation, Katie & Sean were an absolute joy to work with. They arrived with a clear vision for their day but were wonderfully open to ideas and suggestions on how we could elevate the overall look. Those are always my favourite briefs. Collaborative, creative, and full of trust.

The floral palette was soft and romantic with pastel pinks, peach and creamy whites, lifted with brighter coral pink pops to add warmth and energy. Perfect for a summer wedding and perfectly suited to the elegant surroundings of Elsick House.

It is always lovely to be back at Elsick House, and warmly welcomed by the great wedding and housekeeping team.

A Ceremony Designed with Flexibility in Mind

We created a floral focal point in the gardens of the House for the ceremony. This was designed to feel natural within the landscape while still making an impact and framing the couple beautifully as they said their vows. Importantly, it was also adaptable enough to be moved indoors if the weather had not played ball. Thankfully, August had other plans and delivered a scorcher of a weekend, so the garden ceremony went ahead under clear blue skies.

Thoughtful Details Throughout the Day

Inside the marquee, we hung flowers from the roof to draw the eye upwards and soften the structure, creating a romantic and immersive atmosphere. On the tables, clusters of delicate bud vases allowed the florals to shine without overwhelming the space, keeping everything light, airy and relaxed.

Helpful hint, if you're planning a wedding in the marquee, adding a touch of colour can really warm the white space. The couple did this with their table runners and florals.

As well as the flowers, we also provided the stationery and signage for the day, ensuring a cohesive look from start to finish. From welcoming guests to guiding them through the celebration, every detail was considered and beautifully aligned with the overall aesthetic.

A Truly Lovely Couple

Above all else, this wedding was a reflection of Katie and Sean. Kind, warm and genuinely lovely people who were a pleasure to work with every step of the way. Being trusted to bring together flowers, stationery and styling elements for such a special day is always an honour, and this one was no exception.

An August wedding at Elsick House, stunning surroundings, a dreamy colour palette and the sweetest couple. A perfect combination and one I will always look back on with a smile.
