Career highlights come around fairly infrequently, hence they are considered highlights.
Well, that is right where this wedding belongs, the Career Highlights of Fame.
It's always interesting to know how our bookings find out about us, sometimes it's a wedding fair or recommendation, but sometimes it's just being in the right place at the right time!
Back in the spring of 2022 I received a phone call from a lady looking for a birthday bouquet for her sister who stayed locally. The brief was yellow and something a bit different, so with Butterfly Ranunculus the leading lady in this bouquet, we headed off to deliver them.
A few months later the recipient contacted me to say that some relations were marrying at Haddo House, and she would like it very much if I provided the flowers to decorate the Chapel.
Now here comes the highlight, I was able to cut flowers from the host's walled garden on the grounds of the Haddo estate. It doesn't get much more local than that, and what a wonderful time I had on a sunny mid-summer afternoon cutting delphiniums, peonies, lupins and lots of fillers not typically found on the wholesale market.
A few days later I was able to dress the Chapel for the wedding of Rachel & Dave, who had come over from the States to celebrate with friends and family.
With kind permission of the Bride, here are a few photos captured by the very talented Hayley Palmquist Photography Home - HAYLEY PALMQUIST DUNDAS (hayleypalmquistphotography.com)
