At the end of May, we had the joy of flowering a truly special wedding, one that felt as heartfelt as it was elegant. The couple, who first met while studying in the USA, have since settled in Scotland, the groom’s homeland. Their day at Thainstone House was a celebration not just of love, but of family, connection and homecoming.
Thainstone House, with its olde-world charm, set the perfect scene. Tucked away in one of the smaller reception rooms, the atmosphere was intimate and warm. Grand paintings and historic fireplaces created a timeless backdrop, which we complemented with soft, spring-toned flowers in arrangements that were both effortlessly sophisticated and beautifully showstopping.
The ceremony space featured a floral focal point, elegant urns, delicate pew ends and a sweeping fireplace arrangement that drew the eye and set a romantic tone. After the ceremony, we seamlessly reimagined the room for the wedding breakfast, where guests were seated around a horseshoe-shaped table. The florals were thoughtfully repurposed to retain that cohesive, luxurious feel throughout the day.
We worked closely with the bride and groom, and the brilliant team at North East Events to bring the couple’s vision to life. It was a pleasure to collaborate on a wedding that was so personal, grounded in family, and full of meaningful details.
The dreamy atmosphere of the day was captured beautifully by Klaudia Zrobek, whose photos tell the story with grace and warmth. We’re delighted to share a selection of images that showcase this intimate celebration in all its charm.
