A Cosy Late November Wedding at Logie Country House, Aberdeenshire

There is something undeniably magical about a late November wedding, and this one at Logie Country House was the perfect example of how embracing the season can create the most atmospheric day.

In the days leading up to the wedding, snow fell across Aberdeenshire, instantly transforming the surroundings and setting the tone for a truly seasonal celebration. Crisp air, winter light and a beautiful morning fog made the most magical setting.

The couple, who are from Speyside, wanted their wedding to feel warm, welcoming and full of character. With the Craigellachie Hotel as their local, and a place woven through many of their own memories, they were drawn to the cosy and rustic charm the hotel is renowned for. Their vision was to carry that same feeling through to their chosen venue at Logie Country House.

That connection instantly resonated with me. The Craigellachie holds many special memories for my husband and I, so I couldn’t have been more on board with bringing those cosy, nostalgic vibes into the floral and styling choices for the day.

The colour palette was led by a rich navy, introduced through beautiful tassel details on the invitation suite. This deep tone was then layered with dark red, burnt orange and soft pink throughout the flowers, creating depth, warmth and a real sense of late autumn abundance.

Florals featured across the venue, from staircase arrangements that greeted guests on arrival, to signage bouquets and clusters of bud vases dotted throughout the spaces. Each arrangement was designed to feel relaxed and natural, as though it had grown into place, while still feeling considered and intentional.

One of the most striking elements of the day was the ceremony backdrop. Rather than a traditional floral arch, the couple chose something completely different. An eclectic collection of bud vases was nestled amongst wine bottles and softly glowing candles, creating a backdrop that felt intimate, romantic and incredibly atmospheric. It was such a simple idea, but executed beautifully, and perfectly in keeping with the cosy vision for the day.

With snow outside, candlelight inside and rich seasonal tones throughout, this wedding was a wonderful reminder that late autumn celebrations can be just as breath taking as any summer day. Thoughtful details, meaningful inspiration and a willingness to lean into the season made this Logie Country House wedding truly unforgettable.
